- A linear feature running NE-SW, could poss represent a beamslot (based on size and shape), alternatively it could be some sort of gulley. Either way it is of Roman date (based on associated potsherd).

- Cut fades away at SW end so not 100% sure if it would originally have continued further in a S/Westernly direction. During excavation, slightly overcut by an inch or two at its NE end due to diffuse nature of fill there.
