Description

- Cut of Roman linear feature - poss- ditch. [1482] is (most likely) the continuation of [1471] which is located on the Western side of post-med drain [1444]. The truncation of [1482] was prob a boundary of some sort within the cemetary area and/or a drain. A hypothesis was that it might turn SOuth forming an L shape. However, the relationship is gone so it is difficult to say. It seems that the southern part [1478] is another ditch-possibly contemporary with [1482] and truncated it

- Quite sharp
- Gradual to more vertical on the S edge

- Fairly Flat base

- Truncated by [1444] to the west and by a cut for a Victorian wall to the east. 1482 is possibly cutting a pit with fills (1488) and (1489)
