Description

    • 520 is a small shallow brick lined pit. The cut of the feature does not hit natural at the base which means that 520 is unlikely to be a soakaway. It also does not contain much waste debris or organic remains ( which indicates that it is prob not a compost dump either). 520 is within an area of high medieval activity - with soakaways & wells. It was probably some type of garden/household functional feature (as it was not built very aesthetically)
