Description
-
- 666 is a soakaway or some form of drainage / refuse brick lined pit. There is a drain, 700, running downhill from 666 possibly into another soakaway (Truncated soakaway in Eval. trench). The silt trap 606 has similarities to 666 & is from the same period. There is masonry, 736, within 666 that was probably to improve the water drainage in the feature. The contemporary fills of the soakaway's use had finds that were modern in date.
