Description
- Soft
- Dark grey and dark brownish green
- Sandy silt (20:80)
- Frequent clay (well mixed with rest of deposit), occasional very rounded to sub-angular flint pebbles (up to 50mm), occasional charcoal flecks
- N-S: 2.27m, E-W: 2.55m, thickenss: 0.50m. this reflects total area covered but as its art away in the middle by [589] it exists as a band around this feature (see sketch overleaf)
- This number was taken out of context separated from surrounding deposits because this has slumped into cut [589] and needed to be recoved for health and safety reasons. There was also a concern about resultant contamination with later deposits; drawing number: 788 (x1)
