Description
- Compact on top, softer and more friable further down.
- Dark brown
- Sandy silt
- Occa.to moderate inclusions of charcoal
- Thickness: 0.55 m
- Located under deposit/spread (834) and has been truncated by modern drain. Roman pottery was found in this fill.
- Excavated by mattock and trowel in very dry, sunny conditions.
