- cut of large pit. it cuts into the large pit [857] but this was only observed after the machine had removed about two-thirds of it! The levels taken (see plan) are its height at that point in time, so its original height was probably about a metre higher! Its relationship to the pit on its north side [884] is undertermined and will have to be resolved through finds
