Description
-
- fill within cut for cremation urn [962]. Diffuse in places to surrounding fill but though patchy, is slightly darker and contains high concentration of burnt and fragmented bone. A sample was taken of as much of the remaining fill as possible, which filled one 10L sample bucket. Some possible contamination with surrounding soils as not clear cut line to follow. (e.g. the two pieces of pot sherd from base of fill could have come from underlying dark layer?)
