    • Cut and fill of pit

Group Description

    • Context (1079) formed the fill of [1080], the cut of a pit. Its initial shape in plan suggested a grave, but no bone was detected, and so the function of this feature was unclear. Cut [1080] was dug into (1005), the fill of the grave cut [1007], that supported heavily erroded and truncated skeleton 1006. There were no finds in (1005). Cut [1007] was fairly diffuse. Cut [1007] truncates grave [1082], with (1081) being the fill of grave [1082], and containing skeleton 1083, which had heavily erroded leaving only a skull and a few heavily fragmented other bones in [1082].
