- Cut by [2008], [2021], and [2127], context(2138) was the fill of [2137] a Roman linear, that was truncated on the northern edge. The composition of the fill was noted as similar to (2017), which was just to the south of [2137]. Cultural material was low in the fill which was characteristic again of (2017). This feature's southern edge was visible, but the N was very truncated. Cut [2137] was dug into gravel layer (2142).

Dating Information

- One pot sherd was recovered from the fill of this pit, which was broadly dated to 50-400AD. However given the stratigraphic position of this feature it is seen as early-mid Roman.
