- Cut and fill of pit
Group Description
-
- Layer (1135) sealed (983) a fill of linear feature/possible grave feature [984]. This feature was roughly rectangular, and followed the cemetery alignment, however no bone was found within the fill, so if it was cut for a grave it either was not used, or the acidic gravels soils had eroded the skeletal remains away. The mixed nature of the fills indicate that it was more likely to have been a refuse pit.
