- Cut [942] was dug into (1237), the fill of Roman pit [1238], perhaps dug to dispose of pyre debris as indicated by the moderate amounts of charcoal found within the fill. The pit was dug into the (660=(852), one of the latest back fills of quarry pit/face recorded in subgroup 209.
