- Lower fill of [1478] 545/90, 545/85
Subgroup Narrative Text
-
- Linear cut [1455] was dug into (1479), the upper fill of N-S linear [1478]. Underlying (1479) was lower fill (1492). This lower fill contained Roman CBM, pot and copper small finds 154 and 155. This lower fill had a distinctive appearance, being charcoal rich and mixed with brick earth. It is possible that this was a foundation trench and that the associated building rubble was related to the structure the trench was dug for. Cut [1478] cut into metaled surface (1457).
