Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Pit cut [1632] was dug into (1635), the mixed fill of pit [1636]. Context (1635) held a lot of flecks and small lumps of charcoal, some shell (oyster), small lumps of burnt hardened clay, and occasional CBM and pot-sherd, animal bone. The mixed fill indicates that this was a refuse pit. Underlying [1636] was (1648) the aggregate fill of pit [1649].
