- Underlying (2051), a redeposited brick earth layer, was a series of inter-cutting Roman pits. Stratigraphically the first were was (2054), sampled as <241> <245>, which contained a redeposited cremation and was the fill of [2055]. This was seen as a refuse pit, with [2055] being cut into (2056), the fill of [2057].
