Group Description

- This large series of inter-cutting refuse pits is in a concentrated area of activity, and adjacent to a sequence of grave plots, possibly representing activity related to the graves.

Dating Information

- The majority of pot related to these pits has been dated to 120-160AD. Later dated ceramics has included dating of 150-400, and although there is some overlap of dates here, the later pieces are probably intrusive, which may have resulted from the intensive activity in this area of the study site.
