Group Description

- Underlying the Post Medieval agricultural soils lay (1336), a mixed dumped deposit with heavily abraded inclusions, that overlay the more sterile dumped deposit (1337), which overlay (1338) a further secondary fill of pit cut [1348], and these fills form group 233. These secondary fill are seen as later back fills in order to level of the pit that was dug for gravel extraction.
