Group Description

    • In an area of heavy truncation, underlying the modern overburden lay (1921), fill of liner feature [1922], that ran on a NE-SW axis, and could possibly represent the remains of a beam slot (based on size and shape); alternatively it could be some sort of gulley. Cut [1922] was dug into (1930), the upper fill of [1931].

Dating Information

    • One pot sherd was recovered from the fill of this feature which was dated to 50-100AD. However, the stratigraphic position of this feature indicates that it is later, and the sherd is therefore considered to be residual.
