Group Description

- In an area of heavy horizontal truncation, underlying the modern overburden lay (1860) the fill of heavily truncated pit cut [1861]. This pit was truncated and the fill was notably sterile, and so the function of the pit was uncertain. Cut [1861] was dug into (1936), the fill of linear [1935].

Dating Information

- Limited datable material was recovered from this feature, but what was recovered was dated to 120-160AD. However, stratigraphically the feature is later than this and so this limited amount of pot is seen as residual.
