- This group is formed of four burial plots, one of which was vacant. Post hole cut [1843] was dug into (1811) the fill of grave cut [1813], that was dug for burial (1812), a burial that was in fairly good condition. The burial was a male adult, and had periostitis on the left femur and a right rib, and this burial was sub-group 35. Cut [1813] was dug into (1864), a Roman layer. Underlying (1289) was (1857) the fill of grave cut [1859], that was dug for burial (1858). Inhumation (1858) was supine and in fair condition, although the right hand side of the face and the lower right leg were poorly preserved; this grave formed sub-group 39. The grave fill was sampled as <209>, <210>, <211>, and <212>. Cut [1859] was dug into (1937) a mixed deposit of dumped material. In an area of heavy truncation, Post Medieval cut [1846] was dug into (1911), the fill of grave cut [1910], dug for burial (1890), a supine inhumation that had been subject to post depositional disturbance, and the central part of the inhumation had noticeably slumped. The burial was noted to lie within coffin stain (1891), the body of the coffin had eroded away; this grave formed sub-group 40. Grave cut [1910] was dug into (1923) the fill of small pit cut [1924]. Cut [1859] was dug into (1957), the relatively barren fill of [1956]. This feature was seen as a vacant grave cut; no skeletal or funerary remains were found within the feature, but given its form and stratigraphic position in the site it is seen as a grave cut. Cut [1956] was dug into (1937) a mixed deposit of dumped material, a possible leveling deposit.
