- Underlying gravel spread (616) was (785), the latest fill in pit cut [530]. Context (785) functioned as a capping layer over earlier secondary fill (529), an organic rich deposit, that overlay earlier fill (803), that was noted to be very organic and pungent. The smell of these fills seemingly necessitated a capping layer, (785).
