- In the south east of Zone 1 was red brick soak-away {541}, this was filled by mixed dump deposit (559), and built into cut [560]. This was a relatively shallow drainage feature and the fill was notably sterile.

- No dating material was recovered from this feature, but given its function and stratigraphic position it is clearly late Post Medieval.
