Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Context (1246) formed the Upper layer of pit fill [1248], that aslo held primary fill (1247), sampled as <87>. The pit cut itself was possibly a quarry pit, but was small compared to others on site. The edges of the cut were fairly eroded, and it was assumed not to have been dug for the associated fills, seen as refuse deposits that back filled the vacant cut. The cut was dug into (660)=(852), the back fills of the quarry face recorded in subgroup 209.
