- Post Medieval construction cut [1008] was dug into Early Post Medieval pit (986) the upper fill of [989], a pit that also contained fills (987) and primary fill (988). More CBM in the form of demolition rubble was noted in secondary fills (986) and (987) than in primary fill (988), indicating a different back filling phase. These secondary fills were probable leveling events, intended to reclaim the land affected by the excavation of the pit cut. Pit cut [989] was dug into (1009), the latest fill of Early Post Medieval quarry pit [1015]=[1064].

Dating Narrative

- A total of eight pot sherds were recovered from these secondary fills, all of which were dated to 1480-1600AD.
