- Roman pit cut [1043] was dug into (1066), the fairly barren fill of pit [1065], which was cut into (2009), the fill of cut [2008]. The function of this feature is uncertain, but given the charcoal inclusions in the fill, it is possibly related to the cremation process.

- Two pot sherds were recovered from the fill of this feature, both of which were dated to 50-160AD.
