- Roman pit cut [1588] was dug into (1582), a moderate dark bluish brown composition of sandy silt, that overlay (1583), a dirty sandy brickearth. These two deposits formed the later capping layers in pit [1581], and overlay (1590) another moderate dark bluish brown composition of sandy silt, that formed the organic primary fill of [1581], a semi linear feature that was cut into the natural gravels of the site area.

- No datable finds were recovered from the lower fill of this pit, but the upper fill were dated to 50-200AD.
