Sea Almond | Chapéu de Sol | Terminalia Catappa
This tree is not native to Brazil, probably being brought here by the Portuguese early in the colonisation of this country. It is known in the English speaking Caribbean as 'sea almond' on account of it's almond-like fruit and propensity for growing on beaches.
