Ceri excavating an inhumation

After being here a week and a half I am just stopping feeling stiff and achey. I have dug a horn-core-lined soak-away and two kidney-shaped pits, one had human bones, the other a cremation burial. I have found some interesting find, including a glass vial, some nice decorated pottery, painted plaster and bits of copper. My colleagues all seem very nice and this unit compares favourably with others I’ve worked for, and way better than other which shall remain nameless…
