This is my third week working at Prescot Street. Compared to my previous sites, where I just excavated features and went home afterwards, this site seems more interactive. I think this is because we are all engaging in the process of making history.

By recording our engagement in archaeology by taking photographs or writing blogs,
we are all, in a way, ‘democratic scholars’ and if community history is defined as ‘history made through a thousand hands,’ the end result looks more than promising!
