Time flies, as the old proverb says. Already we are in late June, and through painstaking hours at my computer, what was a small assemblage of digitised plan drawings and survey data in April has grown to a thorough, detailed plan of Zone 1’s features, a web of Roman inhumations and cremations, Georgian soak-aways and foundations, layers and deposits.

In addition to the plan drawings, I have been gathering survey data on some of the larger features using the total station, which can be uploaded to GIS and converted into plan form.

Our GIS map is the product of the combined planning and surveying efforts of the whole team, and is already providing an excellent visual chronology of all eras of human occupation here at Prescot Street. The on-line version is available for your perusal by going to ARK, then map view on this website.
